    PRACTICAL RESOURCES FOR THE MINISTRY

    Third Millennium Ministries recommends these resources for those desiring to study some of the more practical areas of the ministry. We have selected books that include some kind of study guide, review questions, or exercises. Together with our own Third Millennium courses, these may bring you closer to completing a full curriculum of a traditional seminary program. We recommend that you study these materials in groups, if possible.

The student applies what he is learning as he progresses through the manual, developing an exegetical report on a passage of his own choosing.         An Exercise in Exegesis, Richard B. Ramsay

        This is a brief article (13 pages) giving a basic explanation of how to do an exegesis of a Bible passage, studying Psalm 42 with the use of e-Sword software. If you prefer to use some other software, such as Logos or BibleWorks, or if you have your own library of books, you can still do the same exercise, because the same principles apply. It teaches three major aspects of biblical hermeneutics: preparation, investigation of the original meaning, and application for today. - Description given by author

    • MATERIALS FOR DISCIPLING OTHERS

      These resources are tools that a pastor or leader can use to disciple others. They need no additional study guides and are self-explanatory. We recommend that the mentor form a group of interested people, give them whichever booklet he intends to study, and that he meet with them once a week to discuss each lesson. Some materials are offered free in PDF format, and others must be purchased.
