THE HEART OF PAUL'S THEOLOGY
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LESSON 2: PAUL AND THE GALATIANS


Preparation

Before starting the lesson, you should access the lecture for this lesson, either in the form of video, audio file, or manuscript. You should have already downloaded the study guides for the whole course.

Goals and Objectives

GOALS

We would like to accomplish the following in this lesson:

1. We hope you will understand the background, the key subjects, and the major theological issues that Paul deals with in his letter to the Galatians.

2. We hope you will learn to trust the Holy Spirit to lead an effective Christian life, instead of relying on your own efforts in a legalistic way.

3. We hope that you will apply key teachings from Galatians to your own life, especially that you avoid a legalistic life style based on human effort and lead a Christian life based on faith in the Holy Spirit.

OBJECTIVES

When you do the following, it will show that the goals are met:

1. Obtain satisfactory grades on the tests, demonstrating that you can identify key information related to the background, the key subjects, and the major theological issues that Paul deals with in his letter to the Galatians.

2. Answer the application questions in the study guides, expressing your attitude regarding how to lead an effective Christian life, and showing how you have applied the teachings of the lesson to your own life, especially that you are avoiding a legalistic life style based on human effort, and instead leading a Christian life based on faith in the Holy Spirit.
