INSTRUCTIONS FOR LESSON 1: PAUL AND HIS THEOLOGY
Preparation
Before starting the lesson, you should obtain the following resources: a) The lecture for this lesson, either in the form of video, audio file, or manuscript. See the link under "The Multimedia Lessons." b) The "Study Guides" for the course. Find them under "General Resources to Download for the Course," also found in the section "General Resources." You should download this document with the study guides onto your computer, in order to use them for studying the lectures.

Goals and Objectives
GOALS
In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:
1. We hope you will learn key information about the life and ministry of Paul, as well as the background and theology of his epistles.
2. We hope you will grow in your gratitude for God's plan of redemption, and that you will become more submissive to God's leading in your life, as you understand how God guided the apostle Paul.
3. We hope you will apply the lessons from the Life and ministry of Paul to your own life, especially that you submit to the Lord's leading and seek ways to extend the kingdom of God.
OBJECTIVES
When you do the following, it will show that the goals are met:
1. Obtain satisfactory grades on the automatically graded activities of this lesson, demonstrating that you can identify key information related to the life and ministry of Paul, the background and theology of his epistles, and the cultural influences that affected Paul as he wrote his epistles.
2. Answer the application questions in the study guides, expressing your attitude regarding God's leading in your life, and showing that you are applying what you have learned in the lesson to your own life, especially that you are submitting to the Lord's leading and finding ways to help extend God's kingdom.
