INSTRUCTIONS FOR LESSON 2: THE IMAGE OF GOD

Preparation

Goals and Objectives

GOALS

In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:

1. We hope you will make use of all the resources and activities of the lesson to understand the meaning and importance of man as the image of God.

2. We hope you will grow in your respect for other people as the image of God and in your own self-esteem as the image of God.

3. We hope you make some changes in your life as a response to the teachings of this lesson. It should lead you to treat other people with more respect and to live your life in a way that reflects God's image more consistently.

OBJECTIVES

When you have done the following, it will show that the goals are met:

1. Obtain satisfactory grades on the tests, demonstrating that you can identify key aspects of the image of God in man, especially in terms of his office, his attributes and his relationships, and that you can identify the effects of the Fall on the image of God in man.

2. Answer the application questions in the study guides, expressing your respect for yourself and for others, and expressing how you live your life to reflect God's image.
