Genesis 15:6
When God made a covenant with Abraham, promising that his descendants would be as many as the stars (Genesis 15:1-5), it says that Abraham believed God. Genesis 15:6 says, "Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness."
Notice that Abraham believed what God had promised because he trusted Him. The two aspects are inseparable, but it is important to highlight the personal trust that Abraham had in the Lord.
