INSTRUCTIONS FOR LESSON 3: THE PROPHET

Preparation

Before starting the lesson, you should access the lecture for this lesson, either in the form of video, audio file, or manuscript. You should have already downloaded the study guides for the whole course.

The lesson is divided into the following sections:

Goals and Objectives

GOALS

In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:

1. We hope you will make use of all the resources and activities of the lesson to understand the key biblical teachings about Jesus as a prophet.

2. We hope you will grow in your willingness to submit to Jesus as your prophet.

3. We hope you make some changes in your life as a response to the teachings of this lesson, submitting to Jesus as your prophet, basing your decisions and your convictions on His Word.

OBJECTIVES

When you have done the following, it will show that the goals are met:

1. Obtain satisfactory grades on the tests, demonstrating that you can identify the Old Testament background regarding the office of a prophet, the ways in which Jesus fulfilled this office, and the practical importance of understanding that Jesus is our prophet.

2. Answer the application questions in the study guides, expressing your attitude toward Jesus as your prophet, and showing how you base your decisions and your convictions on His Word.
