Preparation

Before studying the lesson, write a brief testimony of your conversion and how the Holy Spirit has been shaping your life since that time.

Goals and Objectives of Lesson 4

GOALS

In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:

1. We hope you will make use of all the resources and activities of the lesson to understand the Holy Spirit's work to apply the salvation that was planned by God the Father and accomplished by God the Son.

2. We hope you will gain greater sense of the Holy Spirit's work of conviction in your own life in regards to sin.

3. We hope you make some changes in your life as a response to the teachings of this lesson, especially that you are trusting God the Holy Spirit to carry on the work of sanctification in your life.

OBJECTIVES

When you have done the following, it will show that the goals are met:

1. Obtain satisfactory grades on the automatically graded activities of the lesson, demonstrating that you: a) understand the difference between the Holy Spirit's work of sanctification at conversion and then sanctification throughout the Christian life, b) can identify the different evangelical viewpoints on regeneration and conviction of sin, c) understand the theological debate regarding the order of salvation, d) understand how the Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we pray, and e) can identify the means used by the Holy Spirit in our preservation as believers.

2. Complete the questionnaire and answer the application questions in the study guides, showing how you are applying the teachings of the lesson to your own life, especially that you are trusting God the Holy Spirit to fill you in your Christian walk.

1. Review all the study guides of the lesson, preparing for the test on the whole lesson.
