INSTRUCTIONS FOR LESSON 4: THE RIGHT DIRECTION


Preparation

Access the lecture for this lesson, either in the form of video, audio file, or manuscript. You should have already downloaded the study guides for the whole course.

Goals and Objectives

GOALS

In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:

1. We hope you will make use of all the resources and activities of the lesson to learn the literary structure, the original meaning, and the modern application of Genesis 6:9-9:11.

2. We hope you will be encouraged to continue in the spiritual battle as you anticipate the final victory in Christ.

3. We hope you make some changes in your life as a response to the teachings of this lesson. It should encourage you to continue your spiritual warfare as you wait for the final victory in Christ.

OBJECTIVES

When you have done the following, it will show that the goals are met:

1. Obtain satisfactory grades on the tests, demonstrating that you can identify the literary structure of Genesis 6:9-9:11, the parallels between these passages and the experience of Israel at the time of Moses, and the New Testament use of these passages in teaching about salvation in Christ.

2. Answer the application questions in the study guides, expressing your sentiments regarding our spiritual battle, and showing how you have applied the teachings of the lesson to your life, especially that you are actively participating in the spiritual battle as you anticipate the victory in Christ.
