THE APOSTLES' CREED
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LESSON 4: THE HOLY SPIRIT


Preparation

Access the lecture for this lesson, either in the form of video, audio file, or manuscript. You should have already downloaded the study guides for the whole course.

You should continue to memorize the Apostles' Creed. Learn the following section of it for this lesson.


APOSTLES' CREED

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.


The lesson is divided into the following sections:

3) Work


Goals and Objectives

GOALS

In this lesson, we would like to accomplish the following:

1. We hope you will make use of all the resources and activities of the lesson to understand key biblical teachings regarding the person and work of the Holy Spirit.

2. We hope you will develop a closer loving relationship with the Holy Spirit, and that you accept the teachings of the Apostles' Creed about the Holy Spirit.

3. We hope you make some changes in your life as a response to the teachings of this lesson, especially that you live your life in submission to the Holy Spirit, following His guidance.

OBJECTIVES

When you have done the following, it will show that the goals are met:

1. Obtain satisfactory grades on the automatically graded activities of the lesson, demonstrating that you can identify and distinguish key biblical teachings about the person and work of the Holy Spirit.

2. Answer the application questions in the study guides and complete the questionnaire, expressing your sentiments toward the Holy Spirit and showing how you live your life in relationship with the Holy Spirit. 


ASSIGNMENTS

THE MULTIMEDIA LESSONS

SECTION 1 (Parts 1-4 of the video: 28 minutes)

1. Study the first section of the lesson.  

Remember: You can study the lesson by watching the video, listening to the audio, or reading the manuscript.

2. Use Study Guide 4.1 to assimilate the teaching. Use the outline for taking notes, answer the review questions, and answer the application questions.   

A drop box to upload the final document with the answers to all study guides is provided in the last section of the course for students whose institutions will be tracking their completion.

3. Take Quiz 4.1.

SECTION 2 (Parts 5-7 of the video: 21 minutes)

1. Study section 2 of the lesson, using Study Guide 4.2. 

2. Take Quiz 4.2.

SECTION 3 (Parts 8-13 of the video: 45 minutes)

1. Study section 3 of the lesson, using Study Guide 4.3.

2. Take Quiz 4.3. 

REVIEW

1. Review all the study guides of the lesson, preparing for the test on the whole lesson. 

2. You may want to review the glossary for the lesson and use the learning game to practice identifying the special names and technical terms used in the lesson.

3. Take the Cumulative Test.

OTHER  REQUIRED ACTIVITIES
